Adhyapana Scholar - Varshini

Suguna, a single parent works in the pantry of a private organization earning a salary of Rs.3500 per month. Her husband passed away last year, forcing her to take up work to feed and educate her children. Living in a 100 square feet room which she shares with another family, she is trying hard to make ends meet by working nearly 12 hours a day.

She has three children – two girls and a boy-who are eager to go to school. Their school fees come up to more than Rs.10000 per child each year. Varshini is the second child who is studying in third standard. Due to lack of funds, she had stopped going to school. The first daughter is in fifth standard and the son studies in UKG.

The mother has secured some money on loan for the 1st few months’ fees and is confident of  managing the fees on one child. She seeks monetary support for the education of Varshini.

The Adhyapana Trust is sponsoring the school fees of Varshini. She has started going to school again.        Note: Details like school/college name, photos, names of the family and supporting documents have been withheld to protect the identity of the student.
